On November 15, 2023, my husband and I welcomed our baby boy, Leon John Martinez Kriescher. He was a 7 pound and 14 ounce bundle of joy. The past three months have been beautiful. We've watched him grow from a tiny newborn who was learning the ways of the world into the sweetest baby boy who loves to talk and laugh. I think it goes without saying that we are just in love with our guy.
Today, as Leon turns 3 months old, I want to share my son's nursery. Behind the photos is a beautiful story that I want to remember always for us both.
John and I were married on October 22, 2022 in Helotes, TX. It was one of those perfect fall days where the high was in the 70's, the sun shined brilliantly, and the air was crisp. After we said our I Do's, we danced under the oak trees to "Texas Sun" by Khruangbin & Leon Bridges for our first dance. The song perfectly captured how we felt in that moment... sublime.
Texas Sun by Leon Bridges inspired the perfect name for our Texas son and the theme of his nursery. A testament of our love. That's our Leon.
